Nay Thwin Nyein is an experienced Burmese journalist with a career spanning over twenty years.

In his career, he has dedicated himself to promoting democracy, human rights, and freedom of speech in Burma (also known as Myanmar).

He started his journey in 2004 with the Thai-Burma border based magazine (MOJO) covering politics inside Burma and distributing monthly magazines for Burmese migrants in Thailand.

In mid-2008, he joined Democratic Voice for Burma (DVB), an exiled Burmese media. Nay Thwin reported for online, radio, TV in his exile journalist life.

He also worked for Indonesia based radio program (KBR68H) by reporting radio feature stories related with politics and human rights in Burma.

Between 2010 and 2015, Nay Thwin became a columnist or regular contributor for many Burmese language magazines including Chiangmai based Irrawaddy magazine. 

In 2016 under new political opening and transition in the Burma, he returned his home country and became a host and producer of popular televised debate show called DVB Debate.

However, the oppression against free press and journalists, following the military coup in 2021, Nay Thwin left his country and currently residing in Australia.
